I was raised in a family of 7 children, first daughter, second oldest. We were a close-knit family and this aspect of life was an important part of my upbringing.

When I moved to the valley in 1979 from New Jersey to finish my college education at ASU, I missed that part of my life tremendously. It wasn’t until I experienced the connection and support of a yoga community that I experienced that sense of belonging again.

To me, yoga at the foundation of the practice is to build community. The core beliefs encourage inclusivity rather than exclusiveness. Each individual is welcomed and honored for his or her uniqueness.

Desert Song was built on community. Something I am most proud of, and not surprisingly one of my life passions. Our staff of teachers, therapists and office crew collectively share this vision and have positively affected our local community for decades.

The majority of Desert Songs teaching staff have been with us for more than 15 years with several up to 17 to 25 years. I mention this because longevity with consistent teaching experience is undeniably one of the most important aspects in developing the unique skills of a teacher.

We have gathered 12 incredible teachers, with 12 enriching topics for 12 life changing weeks.

The Yoga Teacher Brilliance Series provides a rare and personally empowering synergy celebrating the passion and brilliance of the Desert Song teachers who support each participant in the cultivation of their own unique brilliance in teaching yoga. A rich cycle of growth and wisdom connecting our community.

I am so proud and honored to have these teachers on my staff and I hope you will be able to experience their wisdom and direction for yourself. Enjoy the video and see for yourself the beautiful collective support you will receive from these teachers in the Brilliance Series. Watch Here
Many blessings of love, peace and connection to each of you.
