As we navigate the implications of COVID-19, Desert Song wants to make sure we are doing all we can to support your health and the health of our amazing teachers. We are offering over 30 online classes a week to help maintain your health.
It’s quiet here, the preparation for re-opening is nearly complete. But, I know we aren’t ready. Every morning I read the Arizona coronavirus update. Every morning, the number of cases and deaths increase. Today, the map shows Arizona dark red – scored at 100, the worst in the nation.
Indications of the increases are due in part to more testing, but more impactfully community spread.
Under these circumstances, I can’t open the studio for classes or massage. I can’t expect you to risk exposure coming back. We’re doing all we can to minimize risks we can control, but the ones we can’t control are the deciding factor in when we can confidently open.
Your health and the health of our staff are my top priority. With that in mind, I’ve made the decision that Desert Song will not open in June. We’ll continue to monitor the situation, complete preparations to welcome you back and communicate along the way.
I would love to see you here as much as you want to be here. For now, thank you for your dedicated participation in our online classes, for the donations you’ve made and for support extended to Desert Song. Every day I am reminded of the love and connection of this community. Every day I am grateful for you.
