Yoga students (or yogis, as they are sometime known) are lucky people. They have chosen a physical activity that they will be able to practice for life and that will give them increased strength, balance and flexibility. However, the benefits of yoga go far beyond improvement of just the physical body. Yoga improves every aspect from the self – the
body, the mind and the spirit. Through postures (asana), breath-work (pranayama) and meditation (dhyana), these aspects of the self begin to unite,
allowing the practitioner to experience increased health and wellness.
